Yet another San Diego Comic Con has come to a close and like any other year everybody on the internet is trying to piece together and come to terms with the massive amount of news that came out of the weekend. So here I am giving you a quick recap of some of the highlights over the convention in case you missed anything.

San Diego Comic Con

Kicking us off we got some clips from the Marvel Netflix panel showing off the upcoming Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Defenders series, while also announcing Daredevil is getting a season 3. While none of this is necessarily new information to anybody, it’s really exciting to see and watching Luke Cage wrap a car door around a guy was awesome.

Next up was the Warner Bros DC panel which gave us full trailers for the upcoming Wonder Woman movie and the new Justice League movie, showing off Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman. It looks like DC have learned from Batman V Superman and made the tone of Justice League more lighthearted.

Moving away from superheroes for the moment, next on the bill is our little blue hedgehog, Sonic bringing with him two new games, both with trailers. One is a full 3D Sonic game, code named Project Sonic 2017, which looks to have an emphasis on a multiplayer aspect. The other game however, is a complete step backwards and is a fully 2D, 16 bit styled Sonic game, reminiscent of the old Sega Genesis games, named Sonic Mania.

In other exciting news we got a trailer for Kong: Skull Island. The absolutely colossal looking movie is made by the producers of 2014’s Godzilla and stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and Brie Larson.

Speaking of Brie Larson, during the Marvel Studios panel, we found out that she would be playing Captain Marvel in her upcoming solo flick. During the panel we also got new clips from Doctor Strange, Thor Ragnorok and Spider-Man Homecoming, the casting of Danai Gurira in Black Panther and the announcement that Kurt Russell will be playing Peter Quills father in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.

Finally closing off the weekend was the Pokemon Go panel giving a few neat details about the phenomenal mobile game. The panel gave us the names of the three Team Leaders, Candela for Valor, Blanche for Mystic and Spark for Instinct. We also found out that PokeStops will be able to be customized in some ways, most of which are yet unknown, be we do know they can be turned into PokeCentres, presumably for healing Pokemon. Finally they announced that trading will be coming to game. Now if they could sort out their servers we’d be on to something…
