Batou Cast In Dreamworks’ Live-Action Ghost In The Shell

Danish actor Pilau Asbæk has been cast as Batou in the live-action Ghost In The Shell film coming from Dreamworks and Paramount. Batou is one of the main characters of Ghost in the Shell, being both a powerful fighter and a high ranking officer in Section 9, the intelligence department section the story’s protagonist, Matoko, also hails from.
Asbæk joins Scarlett Johannson, who will be playing Matoko Musanagi, who was the first actor attached to the film. The two previously crossed paths in 2014’s Lucy, while Asbæk will be making an appearance in the upcoming sixth season of Game of Thrones.
Ghost In The Shell, written by Jonathan Herman and produced by Avi Arad and Steven Paul, is looking to be in cinemas March 2017.
