Rhett and Link met in 1984 and after successfully completing their college degrees in engineering they moved on to making videos as their full time job.
Although mildly hesitant about getting myself involved with another YouTube channel subscription (I can’t keep up with all my current ones) I decided what had I got to lose other than endless hours watching various 2-5 minute clips. As I write about these two I am in my third day of their latest parody stuck in my head like the ear worm it was intended to be.
With over 200 million views and 1 million subscribers these internetainers have taken YouTube by storm with their viral videos, comedy songs and brief morning shows.
In 2012 they launched “Good Mythical Morning” on their second channel in which they would sit at a table and pick a topic and discuss. They are now into their 4th season and won Best Variety Series at the International Academy of Web Television Awards. Some of the episodes to date include how to wrap a cat for Christmas, Strangest candies on the earth and deconstructing the McRib.
What makes these guys so likeable and different from the rest of them I hear you ask? Well aside from their original and witty content, they aren’t too hard on the eye and they have a certain charm that appeals to the inner geek and anorak in all of us.
