Oppa Toby Style is the second track of the [S] Collide album, which accompanied the penultimate flash animation in the popular Homestuck. Toby Fox, of Undertale fame, is a longtime musical contributor to Andrew Hussie’s webcomic. Consequently, a deep familiarity is visible in the track, reusing chords from several previous pieces.
Probably the best thing about this song is its cringe-inducing title. Fox, disinterested in naming the track itself, asked his friends to do it for him. As a result, they decided on the most embarrassing possible name for the track. Since the previous titles included Parafox Space and Toby Time, I feel like the right call was made. If any of you are having trouble with New Year’s Resolutions, this song is great for exercising to. Ultimately, the song is a must for any fans of Chiptune or SNES music.
