DC’s Birds of Prey adaptation has been in the works for a while now. We already knew Margot Robbie will reprise her role as Harley Quinn. Joining her are actresses Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress and Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary.

“After splitting up with The Joker, Harley Quinn and three other female superheroes – Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya – come together to save the life of a little girl (Cassandra Cain) from an evil crime lord.”
There is no word yet on who will fill up the rest of the cast list. Casting for characters such as Renee Montoya or Cassandra Cain is still open, but Cathy Yan is directing the film. Black Mask is reportedly our villain for the film. There are plenty of rumours swirling around the casting for his character with Ewan McGregor’s name being flagged as a runner.
Birds of Prey is heading for a February 2020 release date.
