Clear some space on those book shelves! We’re talking gaming art books! We’re having this conversation because Blizzard are after announcing an Overwatch book. There will be two versions both featuring stunning cocept designs and visuals for the game with notes from the team! A standard edition for the budget conscious and a special collectors edition for those with cash to splash.

You can pre-order your copy right now! I have! The news also got me thinking about other art books that I’ve picked up or want to add to my collection.

The Art of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City & Arkham Knight

If you only ever dabbled in the world of Rocksteady’s Batman games then you’ll know just how detailed it is. This art book is a visual feast to gorge on offering an intricate looking at the creative team’s process.

The Art of Horizon Zero Dawn

I haven’t even played Horizon: Zero Dawn. I have watched a lot of different people play it and a tonne of streams! It is one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever seen. You can rifle through some of the pages this art book online. I have since added the book to my wishlist.

The Art of Bioshock Infinite

This beauty already sits on a shelf in my home. I utterly adore the world of Bioshock: Infinite. Beautiful skylines and sprawling cityscape betray a twisted and rotting core. A must have for fans of the game; I can boast a Troy Baker signed copy too.

ARTCADE – The Book of Classic Arcade Game Art

Retro video game fans and even fans of the retro style should check out Artcade. The book is bursting with artwork from some of the most beloved arcade machines ever!
