Yet again the Sci-Fi gods have decided to give us some more information on the upcoming Ridley Scott movie, Alien: Covenant, a follow up to his 2012 Alien prequel, Prometheus.

The highly anticipated prequel sequel stars Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace and Danny McBride. We have recently found out that McBride will be playing the pilot of the colonisation ship Covenant.

The Alien Is In The Details

He goes on to talk about the heavy use of practical effects saying, “Most of the stuff is practical effects. When you’re running from an alien it’s really a dude in an alien suit coming after you! The sets are incredible and you’re in them: We go through some inclement weather at one point on the spaceship and this whole gigantic set is on a gimbal, shaking up and down. You don’t have to use your imagination.” This is splendid news for fans of the Alien franchise as the practical effects are what gave the original movies its charm and ability to withstand the test of time.

There’s more though! The 20th Century Fox’s Alien Anthology Twitter page posted a short behind the scenes clip. In it we see someone moulding a Xenomorphs hand. Check it out below.

I am very excited for this film. Then add the possibilty that Neil Blomkampf ‘Alien 5′ is supposed to bring back Hicks and Newt. Excitement overload!
