Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ Blu-Ray release will have seven deleted scenes, according to The Independent, and will feature more of Rey’s vision and some totally unseen footage as well.
Editors of the latest movie, Mary Jo Markey and Maryann Brandon, have confirmed the news. Speaking about the scenes, Markey said, “I think there are maybe seven or eight, I don’t know if that’s a lot. I remember looking at the reel. Actually, I think there are seven”.
Brandon, too, said, “There’s one with Harrison Ford, there’s one with Rey… I honestly think that what is in the film is exactly what needs to be in the film, and what isn’t remains fun but not necessary.”
They explained that part of the reason why there’s deleted scenes is because director JJ Abrams “really wanted it to be a two-hour movie”.
