While From Software is busy at work with the upcoming Bloodborne expansion The Old Hunters, that doesn’t mean the Dark Souls franchise is stopping anytime soon. At TGS 2015 Dark Souls 3 received a release window of April 2016 for Europe and North America. While we don’t know an exact date, it would seem that fans of the series won’t have to wait long until they can expect to die all over again.
With some long-term players of From Software’s games feeling some series fatigue at this point, it doesn’t help that the game is releasing so quickly after Bloodborne, a title that took drastic changes to the Souls formula. While many fans disliked Dark Souls 2 on a number of levels, the recent list of changes to the game don’t point to any drastic moves away from the now standard Souls games approach.
Dark Souls 3 will release for Xbox One, PS4 and PC in April 2016.
