With Game of Thrones returning to the screen next week Baltimore Knife and Sword decided to make Arya Stark’s needle. Arya Stark is among the best loved characters of HBOs hit series. Little and lethal, for whom this small sword is a perfect match. For a brief reminder, this sword was given to her as a parting gift from her elder half-brother, Jon Snow. These siblings have share a bond of mutual outsider status: Jon is a bastard child and Arya is a girl who longs to be a knight. As a result this “needle”, perhaps more than any other sword in the series thus far, is more than just a composite of wood, hide metal and the care that Baltimore crew take when making all their blades seems especially fitting.
