Abilities: A shapeshifter, Mystique also possesses a fast healing factor, super human agility and appears to be ageless.

Bio: As a shapeshifter Mystique has led many lives and even today very little is known about her true origins. It is estimated she is at least 100 years old and it’s only through her interaction with others do we get a chance to learn more about her. Raven had her first child, Graydon Creed with the mutant Sabretooth but abandoned him after she realises her first born does not possess any mutant abilities..Graydon would later go on to found the ‘Friends of Humanity’, an anti-mutant group and would go on to pursue a career in politics lobbying against mutant civil rights.
Her second child was Kurt Wagner, better known as Nightcrawler, she abandoned him to save them both from an angry mob and it would be many years before they found each other again, to date their relationship is still ongoing but not without its ups and downs but her greatest and most tumultuous relationship is with her adoptive daughter Rogue, who abandons her mother to join the X-Men.
Darkholme has worked for and alongside Magneto, Mr. Sinister and Apocalypse but she has also worked alongside the X-Men, their allies and the US government.

Get Mystique – after countless betrayals and shooting Xavier, Cyclops orders Wolverine to track down and take Mystique out once and for all. Get Mystique affords readers a rare opportunity to look into the past of the shape-shifter and we learn that she has known Logan for a very long time having met and teamed up in Mexico in the early 1920’s. Wolverine hunts Mystique down everywhere she hides and her abilities and resolve are constantly tested. The fight between Wolverine and Mystique leaves her dying in the desert but Wolverine leaves her on her own with a gun to finish herself off.

She’s a shape shifter, you can’t get more alternative than that! Raven/Mystique has appeared in both the 90’s and early 00’s X-Men cartoon series, she is shown working alongside Magneto and as an agent of Apocalypse. In the first three X-Men movies she acts as right hand and protector for Magneto until he abandons her after she is ‘cured’ of her mutation, she then turns on her former friend and reveals his plans in exchange for immunity.
Fun Fact: Rebecca Romijn reprised her role as Mystique for a brief cameo in X-Men: First Class.
