Up until now, it has been rumoured, and believed all but confirmed that Star Trek II will feature Khan Noonien Singh the genetic superman! But Simon Pegg has confirmed Kahn is not the villian. Telling the Telegraph “It’s not Khan, That’s a myth. Everyone’s saying it is, but it’s not.”
If anyone would know, it would be Scotty, or is it all some clever misdirection. The shooting and script of the new J.J. Abrams movie has been kept under very tight wraps, very little is know about it not even the official title beyond “Star Trek II”.
We do know that Benedict Cumberbatch is playing the villain, and Kahn is one of the first choices that would spring to mind, The genetically enchanced megalomaniac to match wits with James T. Kirk. So who would be play now? A Klingon? a rogue Vulcan? We might not find out until it hits the screens in next May!

I was thinking more on this today, The movie might deal with the impact of Vulcan being destroyed. Leaving Mr. Cumberbatch the role of a disgruntled Vulcan or maybe even a Romulan, possible a survivor of the Narada.
