Where Are They Now?

Whether they are defending Britney Spear’s dignity (pretty sure that’s an oxymoron right there!), scrambling through city streets on a never ending quest for shoes or simply trying to find their magical way to candy mountain – they’ve all reached the status of Internet Legend. This week’s EwTube brings you three of the most popular Internet celebrities – some famous for all the right reasons and others who seem to be missing more than just a few screws!

Chris Crocker

Then

September 2007, an effeminate creepy Tennessee boy created a video that would…shock the world. Chris Crocker (alias) had enough of celeb gossip columnists and the media taking pot shots at his idol and fellow southerner, Britney Spears. In desperation he turned to the internet and so began the legend of Chris Crocker, over the top, melodramatic and crazy. The Britney video has well over 32 million hits and his YouTube channel has over 300,000 subscribers – so what’s he doing now? Well it seems he is having his own Britney moment in his latest video… maybe the ‘fame’ got too much for him!

Liam Kyle Sullivan

Then

Shoes, shoe, shoes! No thankfully this isn’t an episode of Sex and City – Kelly is at least four times more attractive than horses on that show! More popular than Chris Crocker, Kelly is the Internet’s favourite materialist man in drag – the brainchild of Liam Kyle Sullivan, Kelly shot to Internet stardom with the release of the ‘Shoes’ video. Now with over 36 million views and a YouTube channel with over a quarter of a million subscribers, Liam continues to make videos and create new characters for his adoring fans…
