This event posted on our Facebook page has taken our fancy and we think some of you guys might be interested in it too:

“Molly Crabapple is an award winning artist, author, and the founder of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School, the largest chain of art salons in the world. More than that, she is a hugely successful entrepreneur. Molly has succeeded in finding ways to fund and create uncompromising, personally fulfilling art and on 29th April at 3pm, in the appropriately named Centre for Creative Practises, Molly will share her thoughts, experiences and ideas on art and entrepreneurship.
Molly’s latest book, Week in Hell, will be available to buy at the talk through SubCity Comics, Dublin. Published by IDW Publishing, the book is a photographic chronicle of the week of madness. From the first stroke of pen upon paper to the glorious 360-degree view of a room full of art, this book chronicles the trials and joys of the Week in Hell, including visits from some of New York City”s artistic luminaries, absinthe parties, live models, and musical accompaniment. The book includes a forward by Transmetropolitan author Warren Ellis.
Week in Hell was released by IDW Publishing on March 26, 2012. It includes photographs by Steve Prue and others, and a cover by fashion photographer Clayton Cubitt.
Molly Crabapple has been called “a downtown phenomenon” by The New York Times and “THE artist of our time” by comedian Margaret Cho. Molly has turned her hyper-detailed Victorian pen to graphic novels, giant nightclub murals, and for clients like DC Comics, Marvel Comics, SXSW, Red Bull and the Wall Street Journal – as well as Occupy Wall Street. Molly is also the founder of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School – an alt.drawing salon with branches in 140 cities from Akron to Zagreb. She has created live art installations at the The Museum of Modern Art and The Brooklyn Museum.”
