‘Heaven-Piercing Giga Drill’ – Area 11 – Track Of The Day
When I first heard this song I was transported back in time to the scene/emo days……don’t judge me. This song was played for me by a friend and I loved it before I even heard the chorus. It’s an anime inspired song. The anime is called Guerren Lagaan. If you haven’t watched it and enjoyed One Punch Man then I would recommend you do.
This song is definitely one that lights a fire of sorts in my belly when it comes on. It boosts my mood instantly and since it is Friday it felt like the perfect choice. The song appears on Area 11‘s ” All the lights in the Sky album”.
There is also a piano version of the song that is well executed but far more somber.
If you have a look at their discography you’ll notice that there are a couple of songs that are inspired by anime.
