Irish PokeFans know how hard it is to get these illusive mythical event Pokemon. So when Nintendo decide to distribute them fairly via Nintendo Network, we all breathed a collective sigh of relief. This month’s mythical distribution is Shaymin.
The gratitude Pokemon was released in the fourth generation being #492 in the National dex found in the Flower Paradise in Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum through an event activated by the item Oak’s Letter. The Shaymin distribution was also one of the few event distributions back then that made it to Ireland, coming to GAME stores around the country.
Shaymin also has a secondary forme activated by the Gracidea Flower, which turns it from land forme to sky forme, making it a dual grass / flying type Pokémon.
To claim your Shaymin:
- Start up your copy of Pokemon X, Y, OmegaRuby or AlphaSapphire.
- On the main menu, instead of continuing gameplay, scroll down to Mystery Gift.
- On the next screen, click ‘receive gift’
- Finally click ‘Get via Internet’ and the game will search for the live Shaymin event.
It will be lv. 100, in a Cherish Ball with the moves: Seed Flare, Aromatherapy, Substitute and Energy Ball and holding the Micle berry.
