After the terrible shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando last week, J.K. Rowling took to Twitter to express her sorrow over one particular victim.
Luis Vielma (22) was an employee at the Universal Orlando Resort who sadly passed away after the attacks on 12th June. He had worked at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter which immediately caught the attention of the series’ author, Rowling. She tweeted an emotional tribute to the young victim.
From the heart
The author sent a floral wreath and a handwritten note to Vielma’s funeral which took place on Saturday.
The note read: “To Luis, who died for love. You will never be forgotten.”
Donations towards the shooting victims and their families are currently being accepted on a GoFundMe campaign. They have currently raised $5.5 million.
