Today’s K-pop track of the day is Suran‘s ‘Calling In Love’, featuring Beenzino!
This song starts off with a soothing melody of piano then Suran’s voice enters, soft and captivating. The song progressively gets more upbeat, the kind we’ve come to expect after her collab with Primary.
Keeping true to her style, the melody is very chilled with a beat that compliments Beenzino‘s reliable rhymes. If I was to place this song in any genre, it would be an indie-pop mix that elicits head bopping and shoulder movement (what some would call dancing, but I’m not great at that). Did I mention the MV? I should have, because I loved it almost as much as the song. Playing to the indie undertones of the song, the direction and photography was beautiful that I felt really added something to the song. This is a song that would definitely help you relax after a long day in school/work.
