Voltron Reboot Is Now A Netflix Series
Dreamworks Animation and Netflix have announced that they are partnering up to create a new series that will focus as a reimagining of the original 1985 Voltron cartoon. There is no news yet on when the project will air or what it will look like, but it will join the new Trollhunters cartoon, directed by Guillermo del Toro.
The ’80s classic Voltron is a franchise that has been receiving little love as of late, but with the revival of other properties like Transformers and TMNT doing so well on the big screen, there may be a strong audience there for Voltron. When Dreamworks purchased the Voltron property from Classic Media (along with many more) back in 2013, talks of a film adaptation began, but it would seem that Dreamworks has switched gears.
