It’s been reported by the Hollywood Reporter that the voice of Boba Fett, one of the most popular characters in the original trilogy series and indeed the franchise of Star Wars has passed away.
Jason Wingreen voiced the bounty hunter in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 and would be one of the few actors to hold the honour of havine a role in both Star Wars and Star Trek having appeared in the original series back in 1968.
Wingreen’s voice may have been replaced in the later movies but his time on Star Wars earned him legions of fans not to mention the many roles he undertook on our television screens featuring in the Twilight Zone, Mission: Impossible and The Outer Limits.
Our condolences to Jason Wingreen’s friends and family.

It’s a shame Boba Fett was so underused in ROTJ. R.I.P Mr Wingreen. And no disintegration.
That line always makes me laugh!
