Earlier this month we received news from Koei Tecmo during a Dead or Alive festival that Team Ninja is working on a new Dead or Alive Xtreme title, exclusively for Asian markets. More news broke this week, however, as a recent preview for this week’s Famitsu magazine revealed that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is currently in development and will be exclusive for PS4 and PS Vita.
Dead or Alive Xtreme was quite a bizarre spin-off from the main Dead or Alive fighting game franchise. It saw the flamboyant Zack inviting a number of female characters from the series to his private island to play volleyball and other beach-based mini games. This was essentially the entire game, which even got a popular sequel. The series has received a considerable amount of backlash due to the game’s ‘revolutionary’ breast physics and ridiculous proportions of female characters.
