In anticipation of the soon to be released Season 5 blu-ray release of The Walking Dead, AMC have released a new scene via The Hollywood Reporter. The scene shows the group in preparation for the assault on the hospital wherein many will remember the tragic death of Beth Greene. As Rick and Daryl are packing their supplies, Rick tells Daryl that “if this goes south, we’ll kill everybody.”
The scene was likely pulled due to the fact that only Dawn, who pulled the trigger on Beth, is killed in the final cut, and leaving the scene in would have meant Rick going back on his word. However, the scene serves as an indicator towards Rick’s attitude and where he was headed in relation to the rest of the story.
The Walking Dead season 5 Blu-Ray is released on August 25 and features over 3 hours of bonus footage including the clip shown.
