X-Men Could Be Set For A TV Show From Fox
DC have long dominated the small screen for superhero fun, though Marvel have made significant strides in the area with Agent Carter and their Netflix shows. However, now their biggest TV weapon could be brought out once again, if both Marvel and Fox can learn to get along. An X-Men TV show could apparently be imminent as Fox are currently in negotiations with Marvel, reported by TVLine. Fox TV Co-Chairman Dana Walden said, “[For] X-Men, we’re in negotiations with Marvel. We’re hopeful we’ll be able to announce something soon.”
Walden also noted that the series would be “long-running” as opposed to a limited series, so this would be a long-term agreement. Speculation has already been surrounding the new endeavour regarding its potential writers and show runners, who Fox have yet to confirm. Although things are looking promising, unless Marvel is willing to sign off on their characters being used in any sort of expansion, this dream could end before it truly takes off.
