Nintendo discussed two Animal Crossing spin offs during their E3 Digital presentation this year, one of which was an entirely new title for the Wii U, Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival.
Many people assumed that a new Animal Crossing game was coming for the Wii U (due to new Amiibo pictures that had leaked beforehand), but we did not expect what we got. Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival will be a party style board game, more reminiscent of Mario Party or Fortune Street. The game will not feature mini games, instead opting for small themed spots that tell a story involving classic Animal Crossing activities such as fishing, turnip selling, etc.
Alongside this announcement, Nintendo revealed 8 new Animal Crossing Amiibos that will function in both Amiibo Festival and the other game shown off, Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer.

Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival will release this year for Wii U.
We also got another look at Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer, which was announced In April this year. The game will be another departure from the series formula, as you are tasked to design and coordinate rooms and exteriors of your townsfolk’s homes as a member of the Happy Home Academy.

The title will utilize new NFC Amiibo cards, which will bring new characters into the game. Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer will release on the 25th of September 2015 for 3DS.
Will you be getting either of these games? Let us know why or why not in the comments!
