Bethesda spared no expense in showing off their grandaddy of the year, Fallout 4. The speculation has been rife and Bethesda showed off quite a chunk of footage and features to help quell some queries and fuel others.
Your character can be male or female, you’re in a different Vault to the first one and when you emerge, there’s a mystery surrounding where your family are and why it took you 200 years to get out.
That’s the premise in a nutshell.
There’s a greater emphasis on crafting this time around, with the ability to create your own shelter and create your own weapons and tools. The world around you is filled with scrap and you can now gather it and put it to use to build your empire of tin and timber. You and your dog, Dogmeat, can engage in combat together while questing and exploring, creating a strong bond that will likely be exploited in the storyline (because damn it all if we won’t cry when the dog gets hurt!).
The collector’s edition will include an actual Pip-Boy. As in, actual Pip-Boy, that has proper software and can be used in real-time with the game itself. Very little other information was given, but it’s an actual Pip-Boy. Sign us up. This edition will cost €129.99.
That’s about all the basics that Bethesda showed off, other than the release date of 10th of November, 2015. We’ll update when more news of the game trickles down and journalists get to see and hear more on the show floor!
