Emoji lovers will soon be able to pick from a range of different skin tones and depictions of families with two mothers or two fathers on Apple devices.
Apple Inc incorporated more diverse emojis into the developer version of the latest update to its mobile operating system. Although unfortunately the iPhone and iPad team have advised that an update date for these has yet to be confirmed.

Currently almost all emojis depicting body parts look white on many platforms.

More cartoon like faces that are smiling and crying come in a shade of yellow reminiscent of characters of The Simpsons.

A spokeswoman of Apple advised that the company is working with the Unicode Consortium to update the standard so that it better represents diversity for all of us. The Unicode Consortium is a non-profit organisation that sets the standards for the pictograms. Late last year Unicode proposed adding five new skin colour options for emojis that will better reflect diversity.
Apple will be adding more than 300 more emojis, including new icons for different variations of families and new national flags.
