CheatSheet: Archer

Sterling Malory Archer, codename: Duchess. Considered the world’s most dangerous secret agent, comparable to James Bond.  Egotistical and self involved,  Archer is solely focused on his own needs and desires, so… should we hate him? No! Archer provides time and time again epic comic relief. His interaction with his mother, the head of ISIS is nothing short of comical, often strained, unsympathetic and quite abusive but HILARIOUS.

Lana Kane is the top female agent in ISIS, and Archers ex. Tall, big handed and beautiful, she is a competent deadly agent. But she will never be number one as long as Archer and his mother are there. Lana was in a long term relationship with Archer before getting involved with comptroller Cyril which bewildered many of her colleagues. The fact that she has large hands is often a source of amusement at her expense.

Malory Duchess Archer, Sterlings mother and the head of ISIS. As self centered as her son, her alcoholic fuelled, disastrous schemes to use the agency to her personal advantage often end in ridiculous circumstances. She has called in fake threats to get reservations to world class cabin berths, assisted a coyote syndicate so she could use the reward money to redocerate her office and attempted to get a bomb from the ocean so she could ransom it back to the U.S Government. With a drink almost always in her hand, Malory rulers her roost with harsh criticism, raw commentary and belligerent vilification.

Cyril Figgis is the comptroller of ISIS. Quite competent at his job, he is plagued by a wide range of personal issues including his addiction to sex and food. He is eventually promoted to a secret agent but is not so great at that. Sterling’s easiest and usual target for ridicule and humiliation, usually without Cyril’s knowledge.

Cheryl Tunt also known as Carol is the rubber cement addicted, pyromania and sadomasochistic secreteraty to Malory. She is the wealthy heiress with a fortune of half a billion dollars. She has a pet ocelot named Babou which Archer adores.

Quotes: “Duuuhhh!” “Mind if I glue up?”,  “My earballs!” , “You’re not my supervisor!”

Pamela “Pam” Poovey, is ISIS’s HR Officer who is not afraid to gossip about all the gory details that she learns of in that role. She is the brunt of many a joke regarding her weight and serves as a foil for her team, calling them out on their zany schemes. She is a trained car racer and bare knuckle fighter which really makes  her a weapon of all sorts.

Krieger is the head of the Applied Research Dept in ISIS. Most of his time is spent working on projects to enable his kinky fantasies. He has had a string of holographic girlfriends and can develop the technology to turn human beings into cyborgs. It is believed that he is a clone of Hitler

Ray Gillette is openly gay analyst on one of the very few competent members of ISIS. With Lana together they form the voice of reason in the merry band. He spent a lot of time pretending to be paralaysed after being injured but ended up actually paralysed.

Woodhouse is Archer’s long suffering, ever loyal, heroin addicted, butler who patiently accepts the stream of abuse hurled at him.
