Alias: Blink
Abilities: Teleportation
First Appearance: Uncanny X-Men #317
Portrayed by: Fan Bingbing

Bio: Little is known about Clarice’s history, her first appearance  was short lived, the pink skinned, green eyed mutant was abducted by the Phalanx along with other young mutants for the purpose of assimilating their powers. Clarice was afraid of her powers, having first realised she had strange abilities after waking up in a pool of a blood, she did not survive her encounter with the Phalanx and died within a month of being captured.

She would return in the parallel Universe created in Age of Apocalypse abducted and imprisoned by Dark Beast, his experiements increased her powers to the point where she could psionically shape her portals into sharpend projectiles that she could hurl at specific points on her target, teleporting part of it away; body parts, weapons etc.

This version of Blink would go on to lead the Exiles and her popularity as a character grew before she returned in 2009 as part of the Necrosha series working for Selene.

212974-105762-blinkMust Reads:

Exiles – unhinged from time and reality, Blink takes command of a new team called the Exiles charged with correcting mistakes in various timelines.
Age of Apocalypse is a must read anyway but it’s a great way to get a good understanding of Blink.

Alternate versions:

The Age of Apocalypse version of Blink is the opposite of the first Blink introduced to us mostly in terms of confidence using her powers. Blink carries a quiver of her portal blades like an archer carries arrows, she’s  able to recreate the portals and refill her stock but only one at a time.

She has also appeared in the animated versions of the X-Men working alongside Magneto on both occasions.

Based on the trailers for X-Men Days of Future Past (which Blink had no role  in the comics… to the best of my knowledge), this version of Blink seems to possess the confidence and control of her Age of Apocalypse  version.

Fun Fact: She takes her mutant name from the noise her ability makes when she opens/closes a teleportation portal.
