Grab your head phones and take your office phone off the hook for fifteen minutes as we bring you some new sci-fi from Bryan Singer, director and producer of the massively successful X-Men series and the First Class spin-off as well as Apt. Pupil and The Usual Suspects.

H+ is a fantastic new web series about a future technology created here in Ireland by a company called H+ Nanotechnology. A new implant is made available to people all over the world, forever breaking down the barriers of distance and widening our access to information and connect so much faster than ever thought possible. With boundless possibilities, billions of people sign up for the implant but what happens when it all begins to go wrong and in a matter of seconds, the world’s population is decimated with implant users all over the world dropping dead…

The blurb about the show reads:

“H+: The Digital Series takes viewers on a journey into an apocalyptic future where technology has begun to spiral out of control…. a future where 33% of the world’s population has retired its cell phones and laptops in favor of a stunning new device – an implanted computer system called H+. This tiny tool allows the user’s own mind and nervous system to be connected to the Internet 24 hours a day.

But something else is coming… something dark and vicious… and within seconds, billions of people will be dead… opening the door to radical changes in the political and social landscape of the planet — prompting survivors to make sense of what went wrong.”

You can catch the first two episodes below and honestly we’re totally intrigued by all of this and a little bit chuffed that the Irish are getting a hand in all of this… you know… not so chuffed we sort of ruined society but still it’s nice to be included…
