After the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was announced months ago, many fans were incredibly excited about seeing more Harry on the stage. Some fans, however, were disappointed that they wouldn’t get to see the play, due to geographical and financial concerns.
So, they’ve decided to release the play as a new Harry Potter book! Not a novelized version of the story, but rather the script itself in eBook and hard copy for fans who can’t make the play to read and digest!
Published by Little, Brown Book Group, the book will be released on July 31 this year. The play, which begins its inaugural London run on June 7, is set to run for several months, with tickets booked out well into 2017. By putting this script out, fans can at least enjoy the highs and lows of the story, even if it’s without the accentuation of the physical performance. No doubt more dates are coming and possibly runs in other countries but for now, most of us will just have to make do!
