Formed in 1995, Evanescence have gone on to become one of the most popular American rock bands of our generation with their first album ‘Fallen’ having sold over 17million records worldwide since it’s release and their second studio album has gone on to sell over six million sinces it’s release in 2006!
In all that time the band has changed it’s lineup five times with high profile members such as Ben Moody, co-founder of the band leaving mid-tour in 2003, guitarist and bassist John LeCompt and Will Boyd both leaving around 2006/2007. Despite all that however the band has continued on and lead singer Amy Lee has managed to keep the band on track and we’re only too bloody delighted that their third album ‘Evanescence’ is due for release early in October.
To keep our interest, a track ‘What You Want’ has been released to the public after appearing on MTV and we are absolutely enthralled by the band once more…
