There was absolutely loads shown at Sony’s PS5 Showcase this week, including the news that the console will launch from November 12th in the U.S., Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand & South Korea. The rest of the world can get in November 19th 2020.

Along with the launch dates, Sony announced the price of each SKU.

The PS5 Showcase had a number of gameplay trailers, as well as some surprising announcements. Exclusive titles from SIE Worldwide Studios will be priced at launch from US$49.99/¥5,900/€59.99 to US$69.99/¥7,900/€79.99 (RRP) on PS5. We go through each game below.

Final Fantasy XVI

Square Enix kicked off the showcase with a look at the next mainline Final Fantasy. Coming to the PS5 as a console exclusive launch, along with a PC release. More information will be available in 2021, but here is the announcement trailer.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

We got a good chunk of gameplay for the upcoming Spider-Man title from Insomniac Games. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be a launch title for PlayStation 5 at €59.99. There will also be an Ultimate Edition available, which will include a remaster version of Marvel’s Spider-Man, costing €70.00.  It was also confirmed, that the Miles Morales title will be available for PS4 users too. Hogwarts Legacy

This open-world, single-player, action RPG is set in the 1800s wizarding world. Players will experience life as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like never before.  Developed by Avalanche and published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games label, Hogwarts Legacy will release in 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S , Xbox One and PC.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

COD got an adrenaline filled gameplay trailer and also dropped the news, that the PlayStation community can play the multiplayer Alpha this weekend for free (from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September). Players will be able to pre-load the Alpha on Thursday 17th.

Resident Evil Village

Capcom showed off a second trailer for their upcoming title. A chilling narration is heard over the trailer, giving a storybook feel. Resident Evil Village will release in 2021 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. 

Deathloop

We got some cool gameplay for Deathloop. The title was originally planned for a 2020 release, but has been pushed into 2021. Deathloop is a console exclusive fro PS5 and will also release for PC.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition

Capcom has also revealed a special edition is coming for Devil May Cry 5. The fast-paced, hack & slash, action title will be coming to PS5 & Xbox Series X/S with enhanced features, like 120fps in 4K resolution and the game will include Vergil as an additional playable character. The Vergil content is also coming to current-gen versions of DMC 5 for €4.99. More details to be announced.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will launch alongside the PS5 digitally in November.

Oddworld: Soulstorm

Creative Director Lorne Lanning, showed off a new trailer for Oddworld: Soulstorm, which is coming to PS5, PS4 and PC in 2020.

Five Night At Freddy’s: Security Breach

A short teaser for a new FNAF was teased during the showcase.

Demon’s Souls

We finally got a gameplay trailer of the upcoming Japan Studio and BluePoint Games collaboration. Demon’s Souls will be a launch title for PS5 at US$69.99/¥7,900/€79.99. 

Fortnite

Fortnite will be available at launch for PS5 and will be free-to-play. It will run on Unreal Engine 4, but will get an Unreal Engine V update sometime 2021.

PS Plus Collection

PS5 owners can subscribe to PS Plus and will gain access to 18 free games.
