Funko Donate Daredevil Pop Vinyls To Charlie Cox For Charity
Do good and good things happen, eh? Charlie Cox, the man buried under boxes, plays Matt Murdock and his alter ego Daredevil in the Marvel/Netflix series of the same name. Matt Murdock is blind, and Charlie Cox’s portrayal of blindness was so good that last year the American Foundation for the Blind gave him the Helen Keller Achievement Award. This isn’t too surprising, as he actually worked with a consultant to make sure his mannerisms were spot on,1
“I had to be conscious all the time of where my eyes were looking, and what they were doing and how they’d look, making sure I wasn’t looking at something before I picked it up, or turning my head to look at things.”
On top of being a super-thorough actor, from what we can see of this interview he’s also super-grounded:
“It’s so easy to become obsessed with the film industry and recognition that we can forget that we are not saving the world. We are just actors trying to entertain people.”
This leads us to Charlie Cox recently deciding to stay awesome and visit sick children in hospitals. He asked Funko for some Vinyl Pop! Figures to bring along with him, and the result was… hefty. Marvel Comics tweeted what Cox received:
