Anyone interested in e-sports, listen up. There’s a big competition going down called Celtic Throwdown. Focusing on competitive fighting games like Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat XL and the Super Smash Bros franchise, Celtic Throwdown is held in Dublin and this year, it’s part of the Capcom Pro Tour.
The main event itself will be held in Dublin across September 3 and September 4. The action has already started however, with the Road to Celtic Throwdown starting last month in Belfast. There are still five upcoming events across Ireland where you can compete in Street Fighter V, Super Smash Bros for WiiU/3DS, and Super Smash Bros Melee. Win and you’ll gain points on the leaderboards going into the main event in September.
