The long awaited Popeye animated movie has finally landed a writer!
According to Star Burst Magazine, T.J. Fixman is joining the team to (finally) bring us the film, although the date of release remains up in the air for now. Fixman is well known for being one of the masterminds behind Ratchet and Clank, and he’s also written the upcoming Ratchet and Clank movie as well.
Popeye the movie is still unfortunately without a director, even though Hotel Transylvania‘s Genndy Tartakovsky was on board to helm the project for a long time.
Although it was his lifelong dream to work with the character, Tartakovsky had to leave the project after some issues at Sony.
