Will Smith has admitted that Bad Boys 3 may soon be going into production. Reporting for Collider, Dave Trumbore writes:
“In speaking with Zane Lowe in the Beats 1 studio, Smith more or less confirmed that Bad Boys 3 is on track for its scheduled February 17, 2017 release date. There is a very, very, very strong possibility that you will be seeing a Bad Boys within the next 12-16 months.”

The confirms the slate that was revealed earlier this year which saw that Sony have two Bad Boys films in the offing. Obviously, the second likely relies on the first doing well at the box office, but if Will Smith or Martin Lawrence, or preferably both, return, it’s hard to see the film failing to get people’s curiosity.
The first movie was made by Michael Bay on a small budget and released in 1995. The sequel was released in 2003 and was a massive summer blockbuster. Whether or not this movie was needed or wanted will be a question on many lips. The question in many cases will not be rhetorical. Still, if the movie is a forgone conclusion at this point then we at The Arcade can only wait. That is, wait, and then cover it.
