In some shocking news, Capcom has announced that the cult classic RPG Dragon’s Dogma will be released on PC  in January next year.

The original game was released way back in 2012 for PS3 and Xbox 360, garnering a rabid fanbase over the years. The game was directed by Hideaki Itsuno, the man responsible for Devil May Cry 2 through 4.

This version of the game is the remastering of the original that was released in 2013, named Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. This version of the game contains the original, all DLC and a new area called Bitterblack Isle, which contains new items and quests. The PC version will also include full Steam support, offering modding possibilities to the base game.

Dragon’s Dogma slipped under a number of people’s attention when it originally released, but has gained a substantial player-base over the past few years. This PC port is most definitely welcome, as PC gamers have been getting more Japanese RPGs over the past few years, what with the release of the Souls series and the recent releases of the Tales series on PC.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will release in January 2016 and will retail for €29.99/£24.99.
