Since Anchorman 2 proved a comedy sequel can still be successful years after the original, in comes Zoolander 2, some 14 years after the first. Cynicism aside, Zoolander is a comedy classic and just seeing Ben Stiller in full blue steel in this teaser is a little big glorious.
And yes, that is Stephen Hawking doing the intro.
Even without actual movie footage, the teaser demonstrates that the right tone has been set for the sequel. Aside from Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell and Christine Taylor will be reprising their roles from the original. They’ll be joined by Kristen Wiig, Fred Armisen, Penelope Cruz and Cyrus Arnold, who will be playing Zoolander’s son.
Zoolander 2, dubbed 2oolander, is coming to cinemas February 12, 2016.
