Apparently coming up with new ideas is not the new trend so we can expect a backlog of rehashed stories over the coming years from Hollywood.
It’s been confirmed that Sofia Copolla has dropped out of the live-action adaptation of classic (re: overdone) fairytale The Little Mermaid.
It was only in March of this year that Copolla was pinned to direct the retelling which according to Universal Studios would be a much darker version of the story.
As of yet there’s been no reasons given for her departure by Copolla or the studio but production continues on the movie.
