The day just got a little darker with the news that actor Christopher Lee has passed away aged 93. The performer is reported to have died on the 7th of June, but his wife wished to keep the news private until their family had all been notified of his passing.
There has been an outpouring of condolences from his fans and world figures, all highlighting his amazing presence both on and off the screen.
While many will see Lee as a villain in movies like Dracula, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, he was also an accomplished musician and released a heavy-metal album last year. He was also the only member of the LOTR cast and crew to have actually met J.R.R. Tolkien.
