We’re not exactly what you’d call fans of the Transformers movies from Michael Bay. However, with the announcement that Paramount has hired a team of writers for their expanded universe, we gathered together a small glimmer of hope for the movies so that they could, eventually, be good. Deadline is now reporting that two of those writers, Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari have been tipped to work on a movie called Transformers One, which will be an origin film “more or less”.
Barrer and Ferrari have worked with Marvel on the Ant-Man script, post-Edgar Wright‘s departure, so whatever they did there obviously impressed Paramount enough to hire them for this billion dollar franchise. The fate of Transformers One is uncertain as it’s undecided if the movie will be animated or live-action, but Barrer and Ferrari‘s have been brought in to work on at least one live-action movie.
