Let’s be honest with each other here, okay? We all want the majority of Marvel properties back at the Marvel stable so that we can have ALL the crossovers. X-Men can stay where it is because, frankly, Marvel couldn’t do a better job than what’s being done at the moment. It’d be better for everyone if Spider-Man joined his alumni and was able to play in the Avenger’s sandbox.
Or would it? Latino Review, a site famous for having a knack for getting those scoops, have put it out into the aether that if Marvel get back Spider-Man, it would mean another reboot to the franchise. This would mean no Raimi’s Spider-Man, obviously, but also no more Andrew Garfield Spider-Man either. The deal, looking like a 60/40 split with Sony keeping the distribution, would be a whole new Spider-Man, with all Sony’s plans currently on the total back-burner.
This… May not be good news. 3 reboots on the trot is too much, for any hero, and we could be waiting any length of time for Marvel to settle on casting. So, perhaps it’s best if Spider-Man stays where he is and we get a complete, finished Spider-Man movie story, for once? What do you think?
