CD Projekt Red have confirmed that a second playable character will be available in their upcoming 2015 title, The Witcher 3.
In a press release the company stated that Ciri, described as “a descendent in a long-lost Elven-blood lineage… a powerful, living weapon capable of both healing and destroying the world.” will be made available and will have an integral part to the narrative offering her own perspective on the events occuring around her.
“CD Projekt Red decided that introducing another character and telling parts of the story from her perspective would greatly benefit the overall experience.”
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been delayed until 2015 but the company have saved there is no way the series stops here with plans to keep it running and explained how important the series to the company.
On that note the developers are also looking at moving away from serial protagonist Geralt and hinted at someone new to carry on the game’s future!
