Warner Bros. have announced that they have begun developing a TV series based on the 1990 book The Devil’s Advocate. The book has already seen one adaptation, the Al Pacino/Keanu Reeves vehicle from 1997.
Coming from Entertainment Weekly, very little is known about the show, but it would be safe to assume the show will have a procedural element to it, with the lawyer’s office setting and what not. Previous attempts at more ‘satanic’ shows have failed, but the success that American Horror Story and The Strain have enjoyed shows there’s an audience for a serious episodic horror venture. Only time will tell.
