Momoa Confirmed as Aquaman
It has been confirmed that Game of Thrones/StarGate Atlantis actor Jason Momoa has been confirmed to take on the role of Aquaman in Warner Bros. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
HitFix are reporting that the actor will join cast members Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman as well as Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred while Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane reprise their roles from Man of Steel.
In the New 52 Aquaman is the half son of Tom Curry and Atlanna and while he is possess considerable strength and still a founding member of the Justice League, he (much like his presence in pop culture) is regarded as weaker than his peers despite possessing marine telepathy that grants the ability to manipulate sea life, superhuman strength, endurance, durability, reflexes, agility, dexterity, healing, and senses … so you know basically useless… poor guy!
