This week Sakurai promised us a new character reveal for Super Smash Bros., but it turns out that he was tricking us the whole time, as instead we got two new characters and a returning fighter. The new characters are Lucina and Robin from Fire Emblem: Awakening for the 3DS. The returning fighter however, is everyone’s favorite fabulous racer, Captain Falcon.
The amazing 3 minute reveal video showed the Fire Emblem characters facing Captain Falcon in battle, as well as giving us a good look at how these new fighters will play. Lucina will be a sword wielding brawler and will pretty much be a Marth clone. Robin on the other hand is a very interesting character, as he/she is not only a sword fighter, but also a magic dealer, using a tome book with a limited amount of uses. You can even choose the male or female version of Robin from the game. Many fans are saddened that Chrom will not be his own character, as he will be included in Lucina’s final Smash instead.
Super Smash Bros 3DS will release on the 3rd of October whilst the Wii U version will release this Winter
