YouTuber of the Week: Sminky Animations
Now this one is a pretty obvious one. Sminky is definitely one of the household names among the YouTuber geeks like myself.
Based in Cork, James Sullivan, otherwise known as Sminky is a self taught animator and quite a comedian.
The videos that he makes are incredibly relatable considering that they are animated animals having the craic . The fat rabbit and the camels are particular favourites of mine. But really all of them do tend to spark some distant memory of a character that I have met at some stage or another. James has this knack of capturing the Irish banter and chat in a unique way. His videos have clocked over 3.5 million views.
This is one of those you have to see to enjoy. There aren’t enough words to express how hilarious these videos are !
This is another one of those happily ever after type things as well as recently James has been signed up to a London based agency United which represent Ricky Gervais and Simon’s Cat. This is a great opportunity for James and I for one am delighted to see another Youtuber who started as just doing a college project into making something that so many people enjoy and can continue to enjoy.
