Upcoming Bethesda games such as Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Evil Within and The Elder Scrolls Online will not be appearing on the Wii U due to hardware limitations. Speaking to Joystiq, Bethesda’s VP for PR and Marketing said:
“None of the games we’ve announced are being developed for the Wii U, so it’s guaranteed that none of those games are coming to Wii U. Will any future ones come out? I can’t say for sure; in our near-term focus, it’s not on our radar.“
Hines then added that it was largely “a hardware thing”. Bethesda came out and said that they will make games on the consoles that will easily support their games. While this week was good for the Wii U with the addition of Pikmin 3 and Earthbound, the Wii U remains on a collision course with the Sun, EA has recently pulled out this years Fifa and Madden from the console .
However, it could still turn around for the Wii-U as Hines finished by saying “It remains to be seen what the future holds”.
