Well it seems the sh*t really hit the fan for two time Pokémon Champion Ruben Puig Lecegui after his latest win and title have been stripped from him by Pokémon Officials following an incident of vandalism.
It is unclear why Ruben and his fellow team mates decided to do what they did – perhaps the pressure from his matches got to him or maybe on a high after his victory he lost sight of things whatever it was, we’re pretty sure there isn’t an excuse valid enough in the world to excuse his actions. For those of you with a weak stomach or who can’t handle anything to do with the evacuation of bowels we suggest you stop reading now!
After returning to his hotel, it has been reported that Ruben and some of his team decided for whatever reasons (be it a practical joke or an honest mistake… ¬__O) that the only real place that they could go to the bathroom was in the hallway of the hotel they were staying in…
Once discovered and reported to Hotel staff, the culprits were caught, and the police were called to handle the mess. The team along with Ruben were ejected from the hotel, forced to pay a fine and when word of his actions reached the organisers of the UK championship, Ruben was stripped of his win which was handed over to the runner up Brian Kyriakou.
Manager of Play! Pokémon, Dave Schwimmer, when asked about the incident commented:
“The Pokemon Company International expects its players to maintain high standards of behaviour conducive to the family-friendly environment that we foster. The Pokemon Company International conducts full investigations into any matters where we believe that a player has failed to maintain these standards, and take appropriate action when necessary. In this case, we have found that unacceptable behaviour did take place, and have taken the appropriate steps in response.“
Well if we’ve learned anything from this guys mistake it’s that while cheaters may never prosper neither do winners who poop in hotel hallways!
