Take a deep breath and calm yourself, the goose bumps will pass in a second… Inception is brought to us from the genius behind ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘Insomnia’ and ‘Memento’, Christopher Nolan and from the trailer it’s pretty clear that is not going to disappoint with his latest movie either.
Inception is a science fiction thriller at its best and with an all star cast made up of some of Hollywood’s up and coming performers as well as seasoned actors. Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Ken Watanabe and Tom Hardy are all a part of Nolan’s Inception.
DiCaprio plays the protagonist, Dom Cobb, a thief with a very special ability – he is able to literally steal your inner most thoughts and secrets. Renowned for his talents he has become one of the most sought after thieves in the world both as a contractor and a fugitive.
When he is offered the chance to redeem himself and get his life back, Cobb is forced to bring his team together and pull off a different sort of heist, instead of stealing an idea, this time they must implant one, performing an ‘Inception’.
From the trailer we can see some serious mind bending effects as Cobb brings his newest team member Ariadne (Page) through the ins and outs of extraction and inception. There are also some serious action scenes, a lot of which take place in the subconscious so prepare to have your brain explode with excitement.
Inception hits Irish cinemas on Friday the 16th of July.
